STING swimmers and families,

The first swim meet of the season is Saturday, October 3, at 4:00pm, at the Robert D. Fowler YMCA in Peachtree Corners. 

Swimtopia is OPEN to declare your swimmer's attendance for the meet. The deadline to declare your swimmer's attendance is Monday, September 28, at 9:00pm. There will be no late entries. 

• You can declare attendance both on the team Swimtopia site or via the mobile app. 
  • Go to the team website: https://iaysting.swimtopia.com/ or open the Swimtopia app on your phone.
  • Click on Meets & Events > Signup Calendar
  • Choose the Oct 3 event.
  • Use the drop down box to choose "Attending" or "Not Attending".
  • Be sure to save and exit out in order for the attendance to be registered. 
• ALL swimmers must declare "attending" or "not attending". If a swimmer does not declare his/her meet attendance, it is assumed he/she is not attending and will not be assigned any events. 
• Coach Juan Carlos and Coach Jeff will be assigning events and relays for the meet. 

Parent volunteers will be needed for the meet. You will be prompted when you register your swimmer's attendance to also sign up to volunteer. The sign up process is also done via Swimtopia and similar to how to declare your swimmer's attendance. The deadline to sign up to volunteer is Thursday, Oct 1, at 9:00pm. Please see the attached document for a description of the available volunteer duties. Fall Break for Fulton County Schools is next week, September 21-25. The practice schedule is regular days/times for each group. The coaches understand attendance will be lighter with families traveling for the break. 

Other important information:

• If you have not joined the STING 2026-27 GroupMe group, please use the link to sign up. We still have many families who have not accepted the invitation to join. This is the quickest way to communicate reminders and last minute updates. It is important all families are signed up. STING 2026-27
• Team t-shirts and swim caps have been ordered and we hope to have them in time for the first meet.
