STING swimmers and families,

We are in the last month of the regular season and there is a lot going on. Please see below for important dates and deadlines.

• Make up swim meet is Friday, February 6
  • Please let Emily Crenshaw know by TONIGHT (Thursday, February 5) if your swimmer will/will not be participating.
  • Session 1 - Swimmers in Age Group 1 and Age Group 2 practice groups
    • Warm up 4:30-5:00pm
    • Races 5:00-6:00pm
  • Session 2 - Swimmers in Senior Prep and Senior practice groups
    • Warm up 6:00-6:30pm
    • Races 6:30-7:30pm
  • Swimmers will be swimming individual events only. No relays.

• HOME Swim meet Saturday, February 21, at 4:00pm
  • Swimmer registration opens tomorrow Friday, February 6, at 7:00am. Registration will close Friday, February 13, at 8:00pm. There will be no late entries. 
  • Volunteer registration opens tomorrow Friday, February 6, at 7:00am. Registration will close Thursday, February 19, at 8:00pm.
• CHAMPIONSHIP swim meet Sunday, March 1, at GA Tech
  • Swimmer registration opens tomorrow Friday, February 6, at 7:00am. Registration will close Thursday, February 19, at 6:00pm. There will be no late entries. 
  • Your swimmer can choose 2 individual events for the championship (I think Swimtopia will still prompt for up to 4 events. Only choose 2!) Coach Juan Carlos and Coach Jeff will make the relay assignments. 
  • Be sure to sign up for the correct session:
    • Swimmers in age groups 10 and younger swim in Session 1 in the morning. 
    • Swimmers in age groups 11 and older swim in Session 2 in the afternoon.

  • Please refer to the latest email on 1/31 from Ben Wegham for all the details about the Championship meet. 
  • Reminder: To participate in the Championship meet, the swimmer must have participated in 2 regular season meets and a parent must have volunteered for at least 1 regular season meet. 
• Plans are in the works for an end of season celebration and banquet. As soon as I have a date/time I will communicate that information. 

Finally, please welcome our new Aquatics Director, Vivian Drago. I am sure you will see her around at practices or the upcoming meets. Please introduce yourself and welcome her to the team. We are very happy she is here!
