STING - Championship Meet information
STING families,
The YMCA Championship is less than a month away on Saturday, March 1, at the GA Tech Aquatic Center. The deadline to declare your swimmer's attendance is Sunday, February 23 in Swimtopia. There will be no late entries.
***If you have already declared your swimmer as attending the Championship meet, please go back into Swimtopia and choose 2 events he/she would like to swim.*** Be sure to click the SAVE button so the attendance and events information is saved. This also needs to be completed by Sunday, February 23.
Please see the below information from Erin Hight regarding the meet. You will continue to receive information from her regarding the meet as it gets closer.
To clarify... the ONLY parents who are allowed on the pool deck are VOLUNTEERS. Otherwise, families sit in the stands and swimmers MUST sit with the team on the pool deck. If you would like to volunteer, please use the link provided in Erin's email. Be careful to choose the shift that matches the session your swimmer is participating in: Session 1 is in the morning for swimmers in age groups 10 and younger. Session 2 is in the afternoon for swimmers in age groups 11 and older. The job in Session 1 that says "bullpen" means you will be assisting lining up the swimmers for events from ALL teams. These jobs are not specific to just our team.

2025 YMCA of Metro Atlanta Championships

The Date of Competition is Saturday 3/01/2025.
Dear Metro Atlanta YMCA swim team parents,
We are excited to host the 2025 YMCA of Metro Atlanta Championship Swim Meet at the Georgia Tech Aquatics Center. The address of this facility is 750 Ferst Drive, Atlanta GA, 30318.
Session One will include swimmers 10 and under. The facility will open at 10:30 am for swimmers and spectators. Warms-up will begin at 10:30 am, and your team’s time will be dependent upon the warm-up group you are assigned to. Your coach will provide further information on this start time as we near the meet date. Session Two will include all swimmers ages 11-18 years old, and warm-ups will begin at 2:00pm with the meet beginning at 3:00pm. We are excited for the opportunities this facility will bring to our meet, but there are a couple changes to note.
In order to make our meet efficient and safe:
There will be no parents, other than approved volunteers, allowed on the pool deck. If you would like to be on the deck with your swimmer- each team will have designated parent volunteers that we will be allowed to assist, but you must sign up on the volunteer sign up! There will be no access for parents to come on deck, and only 18 and under swimmers are allowed in the wet locker rooms that connect to the pool deck downstairs.
Space on the pool deck is limited, so please limit your swimmer to one small bag with only the essentials they will need throughout the meet. (i.e. – towel, water bottle, goggles.)
We appreciate your commitment to our swim team and can’t wait for a great meet!
This meet is split into TWO Sessions: 10 & Under will swim in the morning, and 11 & Older will swim in the afternoon.
