STING swimmers and families, 

Congratulations to the STING for winning the swim meet on Saturday at the East Lake YMCA. I hope you read the very complimentary email from Philipp regarding the meet - it was a win all around for our swimmers! Meet results are published in Swimtopia (they are visible if you pay for the "pro" version of the app) and a .pdf file of results will be sent out later in the week when it is available. Ribbons will also be available later in the week at practice. 

The next swim meet is Saturday, February 1, at 4pm at the Summit Family YMCA in Newnan. It is a bit of a drive from Alpharetta to Newnan, but they have a fantastic facility - 8 lane, deep pool and they run a very efficient meet. They have bleachers on the pool deck, so parents can easily see all the races. 

• ***The deadline to declare your swimmer's attendance for this meet is Monday, January 27.*** There will be no late entries.
• For this meet, your swimmer can choose events he/she would like to swim. Philipp and Juan Carlos will take these requests into consideration when making the line up and do their best to honor the requests. 
• We also need parent volunteers for this meet - please sign up via Swimtopia. 

The YMCA Championship meet is Saturday, March 1, at the GA Tech Aquatics center.  

• This meet includes all the metro Atlanta YMCA teams. To be eligible, a swimmer must have participated in at least 2 regular season meets. 
• The meet is split into 2 sessions based on age group: 
  • Session 1 at 10:30am for swimmers 10 and younger. 
  • Session 2 at 2:00pm for swimmers 11 and older. 
• Please register for this meet via Swimtopia. ***The deadline to register is Sunday, February 23.*** There will be no late entries. 
• Parent volunteers are also needed. You can register to volunteer via Swimtopia, as well. 
• You will start to receive emails from "Erin Hight via Swimtopia" regarding the Championship meet. She is the coordinator for this meet and will be sending information to all teams. 
• I HIGHLY suggest when the link is available to buy a parking pass for the Session you are attending, to do so immediately. They did sell out last year.
