STING families and swimmers, 

Congratulations to the STING team for winning the swim meet at the Forsyth County Family YMCA this past Saturday! There were some data entry issues in Swimtopia that are still being fixed. Ribbons should be available next week. 

The next swim meet is Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 4:00pm at the East Lake YMCA. Swimtopia is open to declare your swimmer's attendance and register to volunteer for the meet. The deadline to register is Monday, January 13, at 11:30pm.

Below is the practice schedule for the holidays. With school out and many families traveling, the team will have condensed practices for those who are able to attend. There is no need to let a coach know if you can/cannot attend practice. Regular practice schedule will resume Monday, January 6, 2025. 

Practices will be held for ALL age groups combined 5:00-6:30pm on the following days:

• Monday, Dec 23 
• Friday, Dec 27
• Monday, Dec 30
• Thursday, Jan 2
• Friday, Jan 3

We would like to welcome two new Assistant Coaches to the STING team: 

• Jeff Loushin - Jeff has been a Y member for 20+ years and is a member of the Master Swim Team. He is a retired accountant from Verizon. 
• Massimo Marsh - This is Massimo's 4th year on the STING team and his first year as an assistant coach. He is excited to be working with the STING and STING B practice groups. Massimo is a sophomore at Chattahoochee High School. He is in the marching band, loves to travel, is fluent in Italian, and is proficient in Spanish.
